These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the website at https://gritstone.build and your communications with Gritstone Contracting LLC (“Gritstone Contracting,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using this site, submitting a form, or communicating with us by phone, email, or text, you agree to these Terms.

These Terms govern the website and our communications. They do not replace any signed construction contract, proposal, or scope of work. Where a signed agreement conflicts with these Terms, the signed agreement controls for that project.

1. Who We Are

Gritstone Contracting LLC is a licensed, insured, and bonded general contractor (license GL2500328) serving Indianapolis, Indiana and surrounding communities. We provide rehab rescue, apartment turnovers and make-readies, roofing, demolition, and related construction services.

2. Use of This Website

You agree to use this site only for lawful purposes. You may not:

Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
Submit a phone number you are not authorized to use
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site or its systems
Use automated tools to scrape, harvest, or overload the site
Interfere with the site’s operation or security

All site content, including text, photography, project images, logos, and the Gritstone Contracting name and marks, is our property or used with permission and may not be reproduced without our written consent.

3. Text Messaging (SMS) Terms

By agreeing to the SMS consent box on our form, you agree to receive text messages from Gritstone Contracting at the number you provide. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.

Program description

The Gritstone Contracting messaging program sends text messages related to your project inquiry and any work we perform for you.

How you opt in

You opt in through the separate, optional SMS consent box on our project request form at https://gritstone.build/contact, or by otherwise expressly agreeing in writing to receive texts from us. The consent box is independent of submitting the form and can be cleared before you submit. You can submit the form and receive service from us without agreeing to text messages. Consent to receive text messages is never required as a condition of purchasing any product or service.

Walkthrough and appointment confirmations and reminders
Project status updates and daily job photos
Quote, estimate, and change order follow-ups
Responses to questions you send us
Occasional promotions, seasonal offers, and service announcements

Message frequency and cost

Message frequency varies based on your project activity and your communications with us. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier plan. Gritstone Contracting does not charge for text messages.

How to opt out

Reply STOP to any message at any time. You will receive one confirmation message and will not receive further texts unless you opt in again. You may also opt out by calling or emailing us using the contact details below.

Carriers and delivery

Supported carriers include, but are not limited to, AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, U.S. Cellular, Boost Mobile, MetroPCS, and Virgin Mobile. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is not guaranteed and may be affected by network conditions or device settings.

Privacy

Your mobile information and SMS consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy for details.

4. Estimates, Proposals, and Pricing

Any pricing, timeline, or scope shown on this website or discussed in an initial conversation is preliminary and for general information only. It is not a binding offer.

A binding price is established only in a written proposal or contract signed by both parties after we have physically inspected the property. Fixed-price proposals are based on the conditions visible and disclosed at the time of the walkthrough. Concealed conditions discovered after work begins, including but not limited to structural damage, water intrusion, mold, code violations, or defective prior work, may require a written change order. All change orders are documented in writing and approved by you before the related work proceeds.

Written proposals are valid for the period stated on the proposal. If no period is stated, they are valid for 30 days.

5. Scheduling and Site Access

Scheduled dates are estimates and may be affected by weather, permitting, inspections, material availability, or conditions outside our control. You are responsible for providing safe and lawful access to the property, disclosing known hazards, and obtaining any authorization required from an owner, HOA, or lender before work begins.

6. Photos and Project Documentation

We document our work with photographs as a standard part of our process. Unless you tell us otherwise in writing, you grant us permission to use non-identifying project photographs in our portfolio, website, and marketing. We will not publish your name, street address, or unit number without your written permission. You may withdraw this permission at any time by contacting us.

7. Third-Party Platforms and Financing

We may communicate with you through third-party platforms, and we may refer you to third-party financing providers. We do not control those parties, do not make credit decisions, and are not responsible for their terms, rates, decisions, or conduct. Review their agreements directly.

8. Reviews and Testimonials

Reviews and ratings displayed on this site are drawn from third-party review platforms and reflect the experiences of individual customers. Individual results vary. Past project outcomes do not guarantee future results.

9. Disclaimers

This website and its content are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Information on the site is general in nature and is not construction, engineering, legal, insurance, or financial advice for your specific property.

Warranties on completed work, if any, are set out in the signed contract for that project and are not created by this website.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gritstone Contracting LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of this website. Our total liability arising out of the website is limited to one hundred dollars ($100). Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, and nothing here limits our obligations under a signed construction contract, which are governed by that contract.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Gritstone Contracting LLC and its members, employees, and subcontractors from any claim arising out of your misuse of this website, your submission of false information, or your submission of a phone number you are not authorized to provide.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the website will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Marion County, Indiana, and you consent to that jurisdiction and venue.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes take effect when posted, and the “Last updated” date at the top of this page will be revised. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
